Aims and objectives
This policy sets out Care Learning Centres commitment to ensuring and promoting the safeguarding of learners who are involved in learning programmes which are the responsibility of Care Learning Centre
The policy has been developed to ensure Care Learning Centre complies with its statutory duty under Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 (law from 1st June 2004) and the DfES document Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education (Jan 2007) which detail the responsibilities of learning providers and further education providers to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Equality & Diversity Statement of Intent
The Care Learning Centre recognises and implements the principles of equal opportunities in employment, training, and provision of goods, services and facilities.
